Teacher acquitted of sexual offences against student

Jeff’s 21-year-old client had been previously arrested for shoplifting. Following a plea of deferred adjudication for theft, the client successfully completed the probation in the prior case resulting in no conviction for the offense. After the client served probation, she retained Jeff to pursue an Order of Non-Disclosure.
Jeff successfully obtained an Order of Non-Disclosure, meaning that all law enforcement agencies in the state of Texas have an order directing them to never disclose the records of the client’s deferred adjudication for the theft offense. The result of the Order of Non-Disclosure is that the record of the defendant’s arrest will be legally sealed and hidden from view from those that would have accessed the information to use it negatively against the client.
