Jeff’s client was a 45-year-old unemployed woman with three children who used methamphetamine on a daily basis.
The narcotics division of the police department obtained a narcotics search warrant based on information that the client was in possession of methamphetamine. While executing the search warrant, the detectives found an active methamphetamine lab and gathered extensive evidence against Jeff’s client. The defendant was charged in federal court with a two-count indictment. Count one charged her with aiding and abetting in the attempt to manufacture methamphetamine and count two charged her with the possession of chemicals with the intent of manufacturing methamphetamines. The indictment was returned by a federal grand jury seven days after the date of the defendant’s arrest.
